Chance and I met October 1st, 2022 when my roommate at the time, Anna Brooks, invited me to go to a watch party for the Ole Miss/Kentucky game. It turns out the watch party was 8 boys, me and AB. Needless to say I stuck to Anna Brooks like glue until I saw Chance walk in. Chance and I made eye contact and I immediately turned to Anna Brooks and said, “OMG he’s cute”. Chance and I hit it off after I commented of the loudness of one of his friends yelling at the TV (hi Steve). We talked the whole day, Ole Miss won and we were both completely smitten with each other. We ubered together to a bar in navy yard and Chance bought us our first meal, sliders (*romantic sigh*). Later that night, the group went to walk Chance’s dog Leo, and if I wasn’t already in love, Leo sold it. I told Chance we were leaving and he walked me to the door, got my number, told me he wanted to take me on a date the next week and kissed me right on the lips. Talk about clear communication. Chance took me on our first official date that next Tuesday. I think I’ve loved him since the first day I saw him and I know he says the same. Chance loves God, loves me and loves Leo. He’s loyal, he’s goofy and I am so lucky that I get to spend the rest of my life with him! May 4th is going to be the best day ever!
